Fern
Fern sits on a secluded platform cut in to the side of a hill, surrounded by lush green ferns and overlooking a woodland in the valley below. Located on a private family farm in Mid Devon, this off-grid cabin is brimming with nature and wildlife. With a wood-fired hot tub, you can soak in the beautiful vista from all angles.
The local area is best explored if you have a car. Just a 30 minute drive from the cabin is Exmoor National Park which has incredible coastal walks, woodland trails and great hikes.
Inside the cabin, there is a king size bed next to panoramic window, a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a hot shower. Built for life offline, you have everything you need for a digital detox including an instax camera, physical map of the local area and our iconic phone lockbox.
Expect a warm welcome from the farm's resident pooch (and the cabin's namesake) - Fern. She is known to shower guests with welcome kisses and accompany them down to the cabin.
Unfortunately guests' dogs aren't allowed at this cabin due to free-roaming (but friendly) cows and sheep, who you may also meet on your walk to Fern.

Loved the secluded nature of it, the amenities provided, the helpful guide, the cabin furnishings, very relaxing!
Loved the location, the fact that we had amazing weather which allowed us to see clear skies. The hot tub was a added extra. Board games also made the experience great too!
Hot tub was sooooo nice. The area was beautiful.
Loved everything: the cabin and supplies were excellent quality and felt brand new. It was secluded without feeling isolated. We loved it and had a wonderful time relaxing.
The whole experience was amazing, hot tub was a winner and the location of Fern is amazing. The clear skies in the evening made it even more special!
Loved the panoramic view and the seclusion at Fern was incredible, the positioning of the cabin on a ledge made us feel like the whole valley was ours. Sitting in the hot tub under the stars was the exact form of relaxation needed. Really appreciated the attention to detail payed to our whole experience, from a decent sized comfy bed with nice linen, to the coffee, camomile tea and instax camera. Even with some much needed rain passing through a game of Scrabble alongside an Oasis tape made for a cracking holiday.
