Unplugged - Terms and conditions
Last updated: 21 October 2026.
These terms are in four parts. Part A covers every booking. Parts B, C and D add extra terms for memberships, Out of Office employee vouchers and gift vouchers.
Part A: General booking terms
1. Who we are
1.1 These terms form a contract between you and Get Unplugged Limited ("Unplugged", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under number 12382035. Our registered office is 167-169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF.
1.2 "You" means the person who makes the booking (the "Lead Guest"). "Guests" means everyone included in the booking.
1.3 You can contact us at bookings@unplugged.rest. Any notice under these terms can be sent by email to bookings@unplugged.rest.
1.4 These terms apply to stays at our UK cabins booked through unplugged.rest. Stays in Spain are covered by separate terms on unpluggedcabins.es.
2. Our service
2.1 We provide stays in off-grid cabins designed for a digital detox. Each cabin listing (a "Listing") sets out its location, maximum occupancy, minimum stay, facilities and any cabin-specific rules.
2.2 If a Listing and these terms conflict, the Listing applies for that cabin.
3. Booking and contract
3.1 A contract is formed when we email you a booking confirmation. Until then, we may decline a booking.
3.2 The Lead Guest must be at least 18 (eighteen) years old and is responsible for making sure all Guests follow these terms.
3.3 Only the number of Guests stated in the booking may stay at the cabin. Day visitors are not permitted without our prior written agreement.
3.4 These terms, the Listing and anything confirmed at checkout make up the whole contract.
4. Prices and payment
4.1 The price shown before you book includes VAT and every compulsory charge. Optional extras ("Add-ons"), such as dog stays, late check-out or hampers, are shown separately and are added only if you choose them.
4.2 You can pay in full at the time of booking, or pay a 50% deposit at booking with the balance due 14 days before arrival. Bookings made less than 14 days before arrival must be paid in full. If the balance is not paid by the due date, we will contact you, and if it remains unpaid we may treat the booking as cancelled by you under section 7.
4.3 If we make an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before your stay and you may either pay the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Your stay
5.1 Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am on your departure day, unless the Listing says otherwise.
5.2 Phone lockbox. Each cabin has a lockbox for phones and devices. Using it is your choice. Guests remain responsible for their own belongings, including anything placed in the lockbox, except where loss or damage is caused by our negligence.
5.3 Emergencies. The Unplugged team are contactable from 9am to 9pm daily, unless we tell you otherwise in advance (for example, hours may be reduced on Christmas Day). Outside these hours, or in a serious emergency at any time, call 999 immediately. Your phone can be removed from the lockbox at any time.
5.4 Safety. You must follow the safety instructions in the cabin, including for wood burners, hot tubs and outdoor fire pits. Open flames are not allowed indoors except in the wood burner, using the fuel we provide. Smoking and vaping are not allowed inside cabins. Guests under 18 must be supervised at all times, including in or around hot tubs.
5.5 Dogs. Dogs are allowed only at dog-friendly cabins and must be included in the booking. You are responsible for your dog's behaviour, and for any cleaning or damage it causes.
5.6 Land and wildlife. Cabins are on private land, often near livestock and wildlife. Please follow any site rules in the Listing. Drones are not allowed without our prior written consent.
5.7 Photography. Personal photos are welcome. Commercial photography or filming needs our prior written consent. Any approved content published online must credit Unplugged and tag @unplugged.rest.
6. Leaving the cabin, damage and lost property
6.1 Please leave the cabin reasonably clean and dispose of rubbish and recycling as instructed.
6.2 If extra cleaning is needed beyond normal use, we may charge £25 per hour. If Guests cause damage or remove items from the cabin, we may charge the reasonable cost of repair or replacement. We will send you photos and an itemised invoice, and payment is due within 30 days.
6.3 If you leave items behind, we can post them to you for a fixed fee of £18 for parcels up to 5kg, with a quote for anything heavier. We will use a tracked service. We are not responsible for loss or damage in transit unless it is caused by our negligence.
7. Cancellations and changes by you
7.1 To cancel or change a booking, email bookings@unplugged.rest. Your notice is effective on the day we receive it.
7.2 The following applies to standard bookings, depending on when you tell us. Membership, Out of Office and gift voucher bookings follow Parts B, C and D below.
• 28 days or more before arrival: Full refund, a free date change, or a voucher for the amount paid
• 14 to 27 days before arrival: A date change or a voucher for the amount paid (no cash refund)
• Less than 14 days before arrival: No refund, date change or voucher
• Booked less than 14 days before arrival: If you book a stay within 14 days of check-in, you have a cooling-off period during which you can reschedule for free or receive a full refund. The cooling-off period ends 48 hours after your booking was made, or 24 hours before your scheduled check-in time, whichever is sooner. Bookings made less than 24 hours before check-in are not eligible for a cooling-off period. The cooling-off period cannot be used once your stay has begun.
7.3 Refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days.
7.4 A booking that has already been moved once cannot be refunded, but it may be moved again if you give 28 days' notice.
7.5 We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers cancellation.
8. Cancellations and changes by us
8.1 If we need to make a significant change to your booking, or cancel it, we will tell you as soon as possible. You can then choose a suitable alternative, if one is available, or a full refund.
8.2 We may cancel a booking if we reasonably believe it was made fraudulently, with a payment that is not authorised, by automated means (such as bots or scripts), or in breach of these terms. We will refund any payment made by the genuine account holder, less any losses the booking caused us.
8.3 We may end a stay early if a Guest's behaviour puts people, animals or property at risk or seriously disturbs others. We will explain why. In that case no refund is due for the unused part of the stay, unless the problem was not caused by your party.
9. Events outside our control
9.1 We are not responsible for delays or failure to perform caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as severe weather, flooding, fire, or utility or network failure.
9.2 If such an event means your stay cannot go ahead, we will offer a date change, a voucher or a full refund, at your choice.
10. Our liability to you
10.1 We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill, and the cabin will match its Listing.
10.2 We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses.
10.3 Except as set out in 10.4, our total liability for any booking is limited to the total price of that booking.
10.4 Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.
11. Your responsibility to us
11.1 You are responsible for loss or damage to the cabin, its contents or the site caused by any Guest or dog in your party, beyond normal wear and tear. This includes our reasonable costs of recovering sums owed.
12. Complaints
12.1 If something is wrong during your stay, please tell us straight away, either by email or on our cabin support number, which is in your online Welcome Guide and the in-cabin Cabin Manual. If you raise a complaint after your stay, please do so within 28 days and we will reply within 7 days.
13. Our website
13.1 Content on our website belongs to us or our licensors. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
13.2 You must not use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access, copy or book through our website, or try to disrupt it.
13.3 We are not responsible for third-party websites that link to or from ours, or for how they describe our cabins.
14. Your personal data
14.1 We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.
15. General
15.1 We may update these terms. The version in force when you book applies to that booking.
15.2 If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
15.3 Only you and we have rights under this contract. You may not transfer your booking to someone else without our written agreement.
15.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
Part B: Membership terms
These terms apply to Unplugged Membership. Part A also applies, except section 7 (cancellations by you), which is replaced by M5 below.
M1. What you get
M1.1 Membership gives the named member a discount code for stays at any cabin on any date, with unlimited use while the membership is active. The current discount is shown on our membership page and before you join.
M1.2 Members may also get extra discounts on stays at new cabins when they launch. We will tell members the details of each launch offer.
M1.3 Member discounts apply to the stay price only, not to Add-ons, and cannot be combined with other offers unless we say so.
M1.4 The code is personal to the named member, who must be the Lead Guest on any booking using it. Codes must not be shared or posted publicly. We may cancel bookings that break this rule and, after a warning, end the membership.
M2. Price and payment
M2.1 Membership can be paid yearly upfront, or monthly over 12 months. The current price is shown on our membership page and before you join.
M3. Length and renewal
M3.1 Membership lasts 12 months from the date you join.
M3.2 Membership renews automatically for a further 12 months at the price then in force, unless you cancel.
M3.3 We will remind you by email before each renewal. The reminder will state the renewal date, the price and how to cancel.
M4. Cancelling your membership
M4.1 You can cancel at any time in your membership account, or by emailing bookings@unplugged.rest. Cancelling is as easy as joining. We will confirm cancellation by email.
M4.2 Cooling-off when you join. You can cancel within 14 days of joining for a full refund. If you have already used your member discount, we will deduct the discount you received.
M4.3 Cooling-off after renewal. You can cancel within 14 days of a renewal for a refund of that renewal payment, less any member discount used since the renewal.
M4.4 Cancelling at other times. Your membership ends at the end of the current 12-month term and will not renew. Annual members keep their benefits until then.
M5. Booking with your membership
M5.1 Cancellations and changes to member bookings work as follows, depending on when you tell us:
• 14 days or more before arrival: Full refund, or one free date change
• 2 to 13 days before arrival: One free date change, arranged within 24 hours of telling us
• Less than 48 hours before arrival, or no-show: No refund or date change
M6. Changes to membership
M6.1 We will give at least 30 days' notice of any change to the price or main benefits. If you do not accept the change, you can cancel before it takes effect and receive a refund for any unused period you have paid for.
Part C: Out of Office employee voucher terms
These terms apply to employees who receive an Unplugged voucher code from their employer. Part A also applies, except section 7, which is replaced by O4 below. The contract between Unplugged and the employer is separate.
O1. Definitions
A "weekday stay" checks in on a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. A "weekend stay" checks in on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday.
O2. Validity
O2.1 Each code can be used once and expires 12 months after we receive the employer's payment for it.
O2.2 Codes are personal to the named employee, who must be the Lead Guest. They cannot be transferred, combined with other offers or exchanged for cash.
O3. Value
O3.1 A weekday code covers one weekday stay. It can be used for a weekend or bank holiday stay if the employee pays the difference.
O3.2 A weekend code covers one weekend stay. If it is used for a cheaper stay, the unused balance is not refunded.
O3.3 Add-ons are paid for by the employee.
O4. Changes and cancellations
O4.1 Changes and cancellations work as follows, depending on when you tell us:
• 14 days or more before arrival: One free date change, or the code re-issued with its original expiry date
• 2 to 13 days before arrival: One free date change, arranged within 24 hours of telling us
• Less than 48 hours before arrival, or no-show: The code is used up
O5. Personal data
We receive the employee's name and work email from the employer to issue the code. We use it as described in our Privacy Policy.
Part D: Gift voucher terms
These terms apply to Unplugged gift vouchers. Stays booked with a voucher are also covered by Part A.
G1. Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is shown on the voucher.
G2. Vouchers can be used towards any stay and Add-ons. Any balance left after a booking stays on the voucher until it expires.
G3. The buyer can cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund, provided the voucher has not been used. To cancel, email bookings@unplugged.rest from the address used to buy it.
G4. Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash, except as required by law.
G5. Bookings made with a voucher follow the cancellation rules in section 7 of Part A. Where a refund would be due, the value is returned to the voucher, with its original expiry date.
