We make off-grid and offline cabins in some of the best corners of the UK countryside. Barclay and Wilfred sit right on the Exmoor coast near Porlock, Somerset - looking out over the ocean, sea air on tap, and your phone in the lockbox from the moment you arrive.

The cabin experience
Swap your phone for a Nokia with Snake loaded up, an instant camera with film, board games, a cassette player, a stack of books, and a lot of outside. Both Barclay and Wilfred are fully dog-friendly with enclosed fencing - and the coast is close enough that a beach walk is never more than a short drive away.

Backed by science
We fix our stays at 3 or 4 nights for a reason. Research shows cortisol levels begin to drop meaningfully after 72 hours in nature and away from screens. Sleep quality improves. The reflex to pick up your phone starts to fade. We built the stays around that window because one night is nice, but three nights is where something actually shifts.

We loved the fire and space to have both dinner and to chat in the evening. The location was perfect - easy walking distance from the car, with a beautiful view and sunset each evening. Mum said the bed was comfy, and I particularly liked the selection of games / camera that were provided.
Loved the setting and the peace and quiet were amazing! The cabin was also very well equipped for such a compact space.
