Barclay
Barclay
Views don't get much better than this. Perched atop a hill, Barclay is one of our only sea-view cabins. Wake up to views of the coastline and the sound of the shore for the ultimate nature break.
Getting here is all part of the adventure: a steep drive leads to the parking area, followed by quite a hike up to the cabin itself. Once you reach the top, you’re greeted with sweeping, uninterrupted views of the ocean - along with a true sense of escape, ready to unplug from the busyness of life. Barclay is just minutes from a public footpath that takes you right in to the village of Porlock Weir, but be warned - it's a steep climb back up to the cabin so pack your walking boots!
Designed for the slow life, Barclay comes with a hot shower, a snug log burner, and linens by Piglet in Bed. And to replace your phone, you’ll find books, games and even an instant camera - everything you need for a digital detox and slow days spent close to nature.
The cabin is dog-friendly with fully enclosed enclosed fencing. Please note sheep roam freely in the fields around the cabin, so please keep dogs on a lead when outside the fenced area and if you have a reactive dog, this cabin may not be for you.

Secluded, everything we needed was there. Great value for money. Great location. Beautiful.
Loved the remote location & sea views. Walks on the doorstep . The enclosed ‘garden’. Instax camera. Cassette player. Books. Cabin set up!
Loved the view!
Loved pretty much all of it. The peace and tranquillity, the view, the things to do in the area......
The view was amazing. Parking was close and easily accessible. The cabin was well laid out and spacious. It was so peaceful.
Firstly the view! The peace and quiet and no phones, so no being upset by social media or news stories. The cabin was nigh on perfect ... we are going to be buying one of the Honest fire lighters asap. Bed was comfy and shower temperature great.
Beautiful spot with amazing views. Great cabin which was very well equipped. Loved the chance to take a break from the internet and our phones and we did lots of reading which was great.
The cabin was well equipped without feeling cramped. I loved the feeling of isolation, that no one was going to come walking past, it was just me for those days. It was lovely to have such a far-reaching view, I spent a lot of each day either outside looking at it, or inside by the big window looking at it.
We loved to chance to properly unwind, read our books without distraction, and spend time together without our phones!
Loved the view, the cabin, the amenities!
Everything was thought of! The cabin was modern and sleek but with a cosy and outdoorsy vibe. The touches of the camera, the games, lockbox with map and suggestions of where to go were absolutely brilliant. Not to mention the unbelievable view from our window. Loved our stay and would definitely go back. Feel like we fully escaped and had a weekend off
