You'll find the answer to all frequently asked questions here. If you can't find the answer to your question, drop us a message on Live Chat and we'll be more than happy to help!
We include everything you need for life offline. You'll find a phone lockbox, a shelf full of books, games to play, radio and an Instax camera with a 10 pack of film.
We have a well equipped kitchen to rustle up a feast, a hot shower in the bathroom with super soft towels and toiletries too. You can find a full list of everything included in the cabin here.
Hell yeah, our cabins are off-grid but built to be comfortable. All electrical items are powered by solar and you have a hot shower with deliciously smelling shampoo and body wash.
We don't include traditional plug sockets, only USB charging points so you can still charge any devices before checking out.
At some of our cabins we do! You can add a breakfast hamper to Olive, Heidi, Mabel, Monty and Otto. These include milk, eggs, butter, sourdough and apple juice, bacon and sausages. A vegetarian hamper is available that includes jam and cheese instead of meat.
We only work with local farm shops so we're not able to easily roll our hampers at all of our cabins, but bear with us!
All our cabins feature luxurious linen bedding supplied by Piglet In Bed. Some of our cabins feature feather duvets and pillows, some feature βsoft as downβ microfibre. If you have any questions regarding your cabinβs pillow or duvet stuffing, feel free to drop us an email.
We have over 30 locations (and counting). All our cabins are only an hour or two from London, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham, including in Sussex, New Forest, Cheshire and North Wales.
You can find a list of our our locations here.
Our cabins are off-grid but not miles from civilisation. You'll feel nice and secluded during your stay, but you're still able to venture out to nearby pubs for a pint or two or to some shops if you forget any supplies. All cabins are reachable within an hour or two from London, Manchester, Bristol and Birmingham.
Our cabins are powered by nature. They run primarily on solar power and are built with low carbon impact materials. Our cabins are built with the circular economy approach so the building can live many lives! We only include eco-friendly brands in the cabins.
All of our cabins offer the same experience as they have the same amenities and features, but each location is slightly different. If you'd like us to help you choose a cabin, you can use our cabin recommendation form here.
We do recommend you lock your phone away to get the most out of your escape, but this is totally self-policed. We provide you with the key in a sealed envelope so if you want to unlock it, you can.
That being said, we really do recommend enjoying your whole stay with no distractions, no annoying emails, and no social media scroll-holes. Your brain and body will thank you!
All of our cabins have an old-school Nokia (yes, the ones with Snake). So if you need to get in touch with us or a nearby pub you can. Plus you can share the Nokia number with friends and family before your escape so they can get in touch with you.
We include a map of the local area and a compass to help navigate. We also note all our favourite spots and pubs in the area.
Many of us havenβt switched our phones off for more than a few hours so it might feel a little strange to begin with. It will take about a 24 hours for the mind to settle when you first arrive, then by day 2 and 3 you should feel complete freedom. You will leave the cabin feeling totally relaxed, refreshed and ready to return to the connected world.
We get it - "Spanish or vanish". We're working on getting a partnership with Duolingo to try and get an offline version, but until then the best thing is to unlock your phone, continue your streak with Do No Disturb mode on (or apps deleted) and then pop your phone straight back in the box.
Yes! All our cabins are accessible by train and are then a 5-30 minute taxi rude from the station. We will provide you with a list of local taxi companies to contact after making your booking.
Please note that whilst all cabins are accessible by train and taxi, some are much easier than others, so do reach out to us if you'd like some help choosing!
Yes, every cabin has its own designated parking spot to leave your car. You cannot drive right up to the cabin, but we give you a trolley or wheelbarrow to get your things to the cabin with ease.
All cabins are 1-2 hours from London, Manchester, Bristol or Birmingham.
When you book your stay, we will send you a welcome guide with all the details of the cabin location. You will have a GooglePin to the parking/drop-off spot, then simple directions to the cabin itself. It's really easy!
We've partnered with Turo, the world's largest car sharing marketplace, to make getting to your cabin as easy as possible. Unplugged guests receive an exclusive 25% discount, the code for which will be shared with you after booking.
We recommend packing light. Our cabins have everything you'd need for a super comfortable stay from all the cooking essentials you'd expect, to super soft towels and very nice smelling toiletries in the bathroom. So, bring some food to rustle up some meals, a good book (although we have plenty in the cabin), and a pair of walking shoes. For more details of what we include in the cabin, view our full inventory.
We make it as easy as possible to do a digital detox and provide you with a guide to help you prep for your stay. If you're travelling by public transport, we strongly advise booking a taxi in advance. We will give you numbers of local taxi companies.
We also recommend prepping to go offline. Set your out of office, let your friends and family know you'll be offline for a few days and prep your phone by switching off notifications.
Check-in is at 3pm and check-out is at 10am (except Koya, which has check-in at 4pm and check-out at 11am). Some cabins offer early check-in or late check-out - you can select these as add-ons during the booking process.
We do, at select cabins! You can choose this add-on during the booking process.
We only ask you leave the cabin in the way you found it. If the cabin is left in an unacceptable condition, we sadly have to charge an extra cleaning fee.
At most of our cabins - absolutely. Even pups need to switch off from chasing city pigeons. We absolutely love seeing your four-legged friends at our cabins, so much so we actually name our cabins after pups that have come to stay. Just add your dog to your booking at checkout for Β£40. We will also leave a little welcome pack for your pooch, including poop bags, treats a water bowl and towel.
We do have a few cabins that are not dog-friendly due to roaming wildlife and expanses of land that are not enclosed. This is for the safety of your dog and that of the surrounding wildlife.
Luna and Baxter are our only cabins that sleep up to 4 people. Luna has two full-sized single beds, whereas Baxter has two slim-sized single beds (only suitable for kids). Please note that the cabins are not in any way βbaby-proofedβ - we have a low level wood burning stove that gets very hot, and a fair few pointy corners in the cabin!
You can bring little ones along to our other cabins if you're happy to get under the covers together but please note that our other cabins feature a different eco-toilet, which is specifically designed to work for adults, so if you did want to bring a little one to a cabin other than Luna or Baxter, they would need to be young enough to still be in nappies.
Luna and Baxter are our only cabins that sleep up to 4 people. Luna has two full-sized single beds, whereas Baxter has two slim-sized single beds (only suitable for kids).
All of our other cabins sleep 2 people. If you're looking to stay with friends or a larger family, our duo cabins Gruff & Basil are in the same meadow so you'll be able to switch off together whilst still having your own private space when you need to.

Travel insurance can cover health issues and pet or family related issues, and we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance for any trip, in the UK or abroad.
If you wish to cancel or amend your stay, please contact Unplugged on the details provided in your booking confirmation.
