Jasper

Damson Madder Edit

Shropshire
Dog Friendly
1hr from Birmingham
Secluded

Jasper sits in his own private clearing, surrounded by young woodland, offering a peaceful escape from everyday life. A leisurely stroll from the drop-off point winds through the trees before opening onto your secluded outdoor space, complete with a fire pit - the perfect introduction to a proper digital detox. Inside, our signature picture windows frame views straight into the trees, letting you wake up fully immersed in nature.

There are plenty of walking routes right from the cabin, whether you’re after a gentle loop or a longer hike that passes a local pub. You can also explore further afield by car, with Ludlow and Wyre Forest within easy reach. Jasper is especially convenient if you’re travelling by train and want a seamless countryside escape.

The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a few days offline, including a map, board games, an instant camera, and a replacement Nokia. You’ll also find a hot shower, gas hob, and all the kitchen essentials to cook up your favourite meals.

Dogs are warmly welcomed at Jasper, though the cabin isn’t fenced and there are sheep nearby. For their safety (and the wildlife’s), we recommend keeping them on a lead while exploring.

Area highlights

Jasper’s tucked into a quiet corner of Shropshire, with plenty to explore nearby, on foot or by car. Whether you're after long countryside walks, a proper pub lunch, or a little market town wandering, here are a few favourites:

Neen Sollars Circulars

Jasper has great local circulars that meander through the rolling Shropshire countryside. The Neen Sollars Walkabout offers three circular routes ranging from 1.5 to 5 miles, catering to all fitness levels. Expect great views, woodland and rolling hils.

Explore Ludlow

Just a short drive away, Ludlow is a must-visit for any foodie or history lover with Ludlow Castle, a stunning ruin with sweeping views over the River Teme. Wander through the historic market square, independent shops and food spots like Harp Lane Deli, Ludlow Farmshop or The Charlton Arms.

Wyre Forest

The Live and Let Live

FAQs

You can travel to Jasper via car or public transport (train and short taxi ride) from most major UK cities.

After booking your chosen cabin, you’ll receive an online ‘Welcome Guide’ detailing the exact location of the cabin and directions by car or train and taxi. If you’re travelling by train, we highly recommend booking your connecting taxi in advance, as rural locations don’t tend to have Uber!

Jasper has a King Size bed so you're more than welcome to bring a little one along if you're happy to get under the covers together. Please note that the cabin has not been 'child-proofed' and there are pointy edges and a hot log burner in the cabin.

The cabin is your space to relax in any way you like to, but we’ve kitted it out with lots of phone-free activities, including:

📚 A selection of our fave books
👾 Board games
🃏 Diary of CEO Conversation Cards
📻 Radio Cassette Player + Tapes
📸 Instant Camera + 10 free films
🗺 Map and compass

And of course you might want to head out and explore the local area. The map and welcome guide include recommendations of restaurants, cafes and other attractions nearby.

Check-in is at 3pm
Check-out is at 10am

We don’t currently include food packages, but all cabins have a well-equipped kitchen including a mini-fridge and gas hob to cook up your fave meals. We include pots, pans, cooking utensils and even chef knives. Plus, loose leaf tea, coffee beans, oil, salt and pepper.

If you’re looking for a night or two away from the stove, there’s always plenty of nearby pubs and restaurants listed in our cabin guides.

Yes! All our cabins have hot showers and an eco-composting toilet in an indoor bathroom. We provide eco-friendly toiletries and towels, too!

Jasper is secluded in a young woodland so best suited for solo travellers who are confident being off-grid. Signal can be a little patchy for certain networks but our Nokia works well. The landowner doesn't live too far away from the cabin.

We include enough firewood for so you can keep warm and toasty during your stay.

We recommend you unplug for the full duration of your stay to get the most from your digital detox, but this is totally self-policed. Our lockboxes have a padlock and key, with the key in a sealed envelope, so if you want to unlock it, you can.

We provide you with a Nokia so you can reach our cabin support team and contact friends and family if you need to. The number for the Nokia will be shared with you in advance of your stay.

All our stays are 3 or 4 nights as this is the minimum time it takes to fully switch off and reap the benefits of nature and time offline. You can read more about 'The 3 Day Effect' here.

We know plans can change, so we’ll always do what we can to accommodate booking amendments. If your check-in date is over 28 days away, your stay can be rebooked for a new date or you can request a voucher, or a full refund. If your check-in date is within 14-28 days, you can move your stay to a future date, or request a voucher equal to the payment you have made. Cancellations or amendments are unfortunately not possible if your check-in date is in or within 14 days. All bookings have a 48 hour cooling off period, so if you change your mind you can reschedule your stay or get a full refund. Rescheduled stays are non-refundable.
