Taffy
Taffy perches at the top of a valley, with views through the surrounding trees and down to a little stream. You will feel fully immersed in nature and totally cut off from the world, whilst being cosy and comfortable in the cabin. There is also a wood-fired hot tub for a secluded soak in the wilderness if you fancy adding it to your booking.
Located in Powys, on the English-Welsh border, you'll be surrounded by wildlife and definitely the local resident sheep. There is every version of nature to explore in the surrounding area, from forests to waterfalls, and Offa's Dyke trail which is miles of beautiful trails.
Taffy is made for comfy living in the great outdoors, with a hot shower, a crackling log burner, and super soft bed linen from Piglet in Bed. Inside, you’ll find books, games, and an instant camera - everything you need for a proper digital detox surrounded by nature.

Offa's Dyke Trail
This trail stretches from the dramatic Sedbury Cliffs near Chepstow to the coastal town of Prestatyn on the shores of the Irish Sea. Along its scenic route, it winds through eight counties and crosses the England–Wales border more than 20 times.
Llandrindod Wells Lake
Enjoy a scenic walk around the 13-acre Llandrindod Lake. Extend the detox beyond your cabin and absorb the surroundings, followed by a well-earned rest in the Lakeside Cafe & Bistro.

There are some excellent local pubs and eateries to enjoy near Taffy, including The Workhouse, Rho's Organic for your locally sourced produce and Daphne's - perfect for those with a sweet tooth.

I booked a solo stay with Taffy in April to escape the world following the sudden and unexpected loss of my fiancé in October. I was looking for peace and the space to breathe, and it delivered exactly that. With no technology, no signal, and not another person in sight (just my new sheep friends), it offered complete stillness. From the moment I arrived, the cabin felt warm and inviting. The space is thoughtfully set up, and the bed gave me the best night’s sleep I’d had in months. What really stood out was the perfect balance between quality and comfort. It’s the kind of place you want to return to, and one I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone seeking a truly restful escape.
