Monty
Monty
Monty is made for those wanting to escape city life without travelling too far - especially if you’re coming by train. In less than 45 minutes from London Euston (plus a short taxi ride), you’ll swap the hum of the city for far reaching views of the open countryside. Despite being so close to London, Monty feels wonderfully remote. The famous Chiltern Way just minutes from your door - a well-loved walking route offering over a hundred miles of trails to explore.
If you fancy venturing out, there’s a lovely farm shop and a handful of welcoming pubs all within walking distance. So even without a car, you can enjoy a proper off-grid break surrounded by nature. Built for slow, comfortable living, Monty has everything you need to unwind - a powerful hot shower, a cosy log burner, and hotel-quality bed linen from Piglet in Bed. You’ll also find games, books, and an instant camera, perfect for capturing memories during your digital detox.
Dogs are welcomed at Monty, though the area around the cabin isn’t enclosed. To keep your four-legged companions and the local wildlife safe, we recommend keeping them close and on a lead while exploring.
Monty’s also ideal for solo travellers - with two other cabins nearby, you’ll have your own peaceful space to retreat to, with the quiet comfort of knowing you’re not completely alone.

Loved being out in nature away from busy London without phones or distractions!
Loved a peaceful location, comfortable bed and simple living!
The location was excellent. You felt like you were completely in the wilderness but we're only a short drive from local towns and villages. We loved visiting Rex and the walks along the Chiltern Way with our dog. The books, radio, cassettes and games in the cabin were great too!
Very comfortable bed!
Loved that the cabin is we really well-equipped with pretty much everything I needed, including a thoughtfully curated selection of books which came in handy when I ran out of my own novels to read. The blackout blinds ensured that I had a restful sleep each night and the cabin itself was well insulated enough to keep out most sounds. The Chiltern Way footpath being practically on my doorstep was a massive plus, and I adored the view of the unspoilt countryside directly from my large cabin windows. I appreciated the access to hot water and the access to 5G in my phone for emergencies.
Overall we had a lovely stay. The cabin itself is beautifully designed, thoughtfully laid out, and exceptionally well equipped. It had everything we needed, including little touches like cooking oil, and the bed was incredibly comfortable – easily one of the highlights of our stay.
Location was easy to get to, and the massive windows looking out onto the field were amazing. Cabin was really sweet and well kitted out, and support responded quickly when I texted them. I also liked that I did have signal if I needed it given that I was a solo woman.
It was so so good honestly!
The cookware was of a really high quality and the towels and toilet paper were folded in a pretty way to make it feel more hotel-like.
Every little detail was thought of. The kitchen was stocked even more than I expected, and we had no trouble finding it. The cabin is built for purpose so it has everything you might need. It was more remote than we even expected and we were only 30 mins outside of London.
With the location, I loved the view, listening to the birdsongs, and watching the red kites flying. With the cabin, I loved waking up next to the view, the cosiness, the additional breakfast, and the loose tea leaves.
Beautiful location, gorgeous cabin which was so well equipped and thought out. Super helpful customer services, brilliant clear instructions for everything and quick response on text for any issues.
Loved the view over the field
LOVED everything! It was just what I needed to recharge :) it was peaceful, clean and had all I could’ve asked for. The farm shop hamper was a lovely touch, I’d recommend adding this on!
Everything we needed and more was provided and it was clean and ready on time and the guidebook was very helpful.
It was great to be surrounded by nature, so many butterflies and greenery all around. Couldn't hear any cars.
Loved the peace and quiet
