There are more than four pubs within walking distance, and a countryside footpath passes just a few minutes from the cabin - ideal for peaceful strolls and lazy afternoons exploring the local area. Inside, Wilbur has everything you need for a true digital detox: a hot shower, a well-equipped kitchen, and our signature phone lockbox to help you fully switch off.
Through his panoramic window, you’ll wake to the sounds of nature - birdsong, rustling leaves, and the gentle light of morning - instead of alarms and notifications.
Dogs are warmly welcomed at Wilbur, though the area around the cabin isn’t enclosed. To keep them (and the local wildlife) safe, we recommend keeping them close and under control while exploring.

Recently voted Best Pub in the Home Counties by The Telegraph, The Sword Inn Hand is a beautiful countryside gem. It's super cosy inside, or in warmer months you can enjoy their outdoor dining area. We love it here!
Explore Westmill
The nearby village that looks like it's straight out of a period drama - historically used as a location for TV show Foyle's War. There's also great wild flower walks and trails nearby.
The Tea Room
Stop in for freshly baked cakes and treats whilst exploring the area. The Tea Room is a quintessentially British spot that will fuel you on your walk back to the cabin.
Award Winning Cheese
Visit The Cheese Plate in nearby Buntingford and make up your own personalised cheese and charcuterie hamper to take back and indulge in at the cabin - or sit in and enjoy with a glass of wine.
Alpaca Experiences
Spend an afternoon walking with friendly alpacas, then take home some locally knitted alpaca wool accessories to remind you of your stay!

It was lovely to be away from the hustle and bustle on London. It was a lovely and well maintained cabin with great amenities and the addition of the Polaroid pictures was 10/10!

We loved how private the cabin felt and it was the perfect size for two people - hot tub was a great way to unwind!
Loved the welcome pack/instructions made everything easy to find and check-in seemless. Having the whole secluded field to ourselves was awesome for us and our dog. The cabin had everything we needed and loved the addition of the hot tub, firepit and outdoor seating. We pretty much spent all day outdoors and then went inside out night when it got dark out and we were done making smores.
Loved the peace and quiet. The simplicity of the cabin, but still of very good quality. Bedding was great. Perfect for a weekend away together.

Loved the location and cabin itself were amazing! All bases were covered to feel comfortable off grid. The manual and nokia were very helpful and the hot tub and very comfy bed were a highlight. It was great experience for me and and my partner and we were both sad to leave!
Loved the location, cabin had everything I needed. Wilbur was the first cabin I stayed in quite a while ago now and I think the change of tables and the stone area outside is a great improvement. Only issues is the bottom gas rings button isn’t fitting great so sometimes hard to use that. Other than that all great.
