Roland
Roland rests on the edge of the beautiful Candover Valley, surrounded by rolling hills and endless countryside to explore. The view from the window is gorgeous, with miles of unspoilt countryside right from the bed. With scenic trails right on your doorstep, you’ll have your pick of long walks and peaceful rambles. And when it’s time to refuel, you’re spoilt for choice - with excellent pubs, a friendly village store, and even a vineyard, all within an hour’s walk of the cabin. The Yard is one of our most-vistited recommendations that offers great lunch options and even has a sauna on-site.
Inside, Roland has everything you need for a true digital detox. There’s a hot shower, a well-equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals, and our trusty phone lockbox to help you properly switch off. Even our old Nokia struggles for reception out here - so you can enjoy a genuinely off-grid escape, free from all the usual noise.
Dogs are very welcome to join the adventure, though as the cabin’s surroundings aren’t enclosed, we recommend keeping them on a (long) lead.

Loved the quiet and peaceful surroundings!
Loved to be surrounded by nature and unplugged!
Loved that the location was so remote. We felt totally away from everything.
Loved the window next to bed, the peace and quiet, the wildlife, the easy chairs, the wood and calm colours inside, quick from London.
Loved the remoteness, the view and the white Equipment in the cabin.
Always beautiful. The location (thought has gone into the positioning of the cabin, both in the way it faces the landscape/sun and the solitude it provides. The gentle nudges to switch off. Gratitude for the curation.
Being excluded and in the middle of nowhere!
Love the peace and quiet - no one in sight!
We loved the concept and we absolutely loved being offgrid. The second the phones went away they were forgotten about. It was great exploring the local area with a map.
Loved the incredible view from the cabin!
We loved the cozy bed, radio and log burner. Not to mention the amazing views!
Loved the cabin, it was covered the best bits and improved the worst bits about living off grid. We were anticipating festival style toilets and was pleasantly surprised.
The cabin was very cozy, the bed was so comfortable and the views and the peace and quiet were fantastic
Loved the peacefulness and fire pit and burner
Loved the whole idea, the radio!!! - we listened to it nonstop, the cabin in general was amazing, exactly to our expectations, the window, the bed (great mattress and I am a very picky sleeper), the beddings and duvet and pillows, the black-out curtains, the coffee grinder, the citrusy shower gels, the location, the quiet etc.
The location was brilliant. Instructions to find the cabin were very clear and our question ahead of time was answered very promptly and helpfully. There was a good selection of equipment and books at the cabin.
Loved Unplugging, surroundings/animals, broad view from the bed, privacy from being remote, toilet didn't smell, firepit, games
The views, the location, the cabin, the comfy bed, the coffee beans and also the instruction manual was very helpful, as was the map provided.
Secluded spot, the walks provided with OS Map, time together as a couple, reccomendations of pubs/places to visit, polaroid camera, the practice of putting phone away, in a beautiful area of the country.
