Marcel
Marcel
Marcel is a cosy off-grid cabin tucked away near Finchingfield, one of the most photographed villages in the UK due to it's quaint charm, village pond and mills. Through Marcel’s panoramic windows, you’ll wake up surrounded by nature, with far-reaching views of the countryside. Conveniently located just 1 hour from London, you can escape the city and live like a countryside local for a few days.
Curl up by the log burner, unwind with a hot shower, and sink into hotel-quality linen after a day of exploring. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need to cook up a feast - a gas hob, kettle, chef’s knives, and all the essentials for your favourite home-cooked meals.
Dogs are welcomed too, though the area around the cabin isn’t enclosed. To keep them safe - and protect the local wildlife - we recommend keeping them close and on a lead while exploring.

Reviews
The wildlife was a highlight, we saw owls and deer.
Loved the details, quietness and location!
This was our second stay with unplugged but a different location. We loved the cabin, the location and being able to disconnect.
Secluded, quiet, close to nature and grounding.
So peaceful, well kitted out kitchen, great views, good walks.
It was absolutely beautiful and all of the tiny details were well thought out!
Loved the view from bed, was unreal - a huge sense of calm, the ability to sit there for hours to read, etc . Being able to drive there after work in London, and not take AL day the Monday was perf. The cooking stuff, and the supplies were so good - worked well and you could trust them. The location felt so quiet, the little village was kinda creepy but cute at the same time lol.
Loved everything! Was well catered for, comfy, peaceful, easy to book and access, got to properly reconnect and relax. Loved the process of grinding coffee and slowing things down. The view! So gorgeous to wake up to birdsong and light instead of phone alarms and London noise. And watching hares, pheasnts and deer wandering past was mesmorising. It was like an English safari stay. Have taken a bit of the ethos home. ~Will recommend to eveyone!
Loved Everything!
Loved The cabin, the details, the distance, your vibe, everything i needed in once place
Peaceful, forced to 'switch off' and reset which isn't something I'd usually do. Great communication from the team (instructions how to get there etc).
Loved the cosiness and spending time outside of a city
Love the location, views of nature, fire place, the whole concept
High quality touches e.g., bedding, tea and coffee, toiletries
Loved being in nature. Switching-off. Learning to do a log burner and fire-pit. Cooking from scratch. Slow-days!
Peace, amazing sunrises and lots of wildlife
We were truly able to switch off and be at one with nature yet it is so close to home.
It was so quiet and loved the fact as you didn't have your phone and no clocks in cabin meant you weren't clock watching which was so refreshing. The views out of the two front windows was great. The fridge size was also bigger than expected so made staying away from shops even easier. The bed can make the difference between a good or bad holiday and the bed here was so comfy to sleep on.
Such a beautiful cabin and felt like you were camouflaged in nature.
Loved the location and how thoughtful everything in the cabin was. Very peaceful and easy
LOVED EVERYTHING.
Loved being able to unwind with no distractions and a beautiful view
I absolutely loved the peace, the location, and the facilities. We had everything we needed for our four night stay, my elderly dog absolutely loved it.
The cabin was fantastic, all needs were taken care of, I will definitely using unplugged again
