Willow

South of London

Tunbridge Wells
Dog friendly
1hr from London
Lakeside

Willow offers a true off-grid escape, nestled in her own private woodland with peaceful views over a lake and the surrounding forest. Just an hour from London, she feels wonderfully remote - a place where you can instantly disconnect from city life and sink into the quiet rhythm of nature.

Miles of forest footpaths begin just metres from the cabin. You're close to the charming town of Tunbridge Wells and the magical Ashdown Forest - famously the home of Winnie-the-Pooh. With over 6,500 acres of ancient woodland to discover, it’s a dream for walkers, cyclists, and explorers alike.

Designed for comfort and calm, Willow has everything you need for slow living in nature. There’s a hot shower, a king-sized bed with soft Piglet in Bed linen, and a little kitchenette with a gas hob for home-cooked meals. As a digital detox cabin, Willow also comes with a phone lockbox, radio, and plenty of board games - all the essentials for a phone-free retreat surrounded by woodland stillness.

Dogs are warmly welcomed at Willow, though as the area isn’t enclosed - and with open water and roaming wildlife nearby - we ask that they stay close and on a lead for their safety (and the wildlife’s too).

Please note: The track leading to Willow’s parking area can be a little bumpy, so it’s not suitable for very low-slung cars.

Our fave things to do near Willow

Ashdown Forest

Ashdown Forest - including 100 Acre Wood, the celebrated home of Winnie the Pooh - is on the cabin's doorstep. Spanning over 6,500 acres, you can walk, bike or even try horse-riding with Ashdown Forest Riding Centre

Pooh Corner

Pooh Corner is a little tearoom/restaurant, situated on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. The perfect stop for either the casual visitor or the die hard fan of A.A. Milne's, Winnie the Pooh. Head for a bite to eat, something to drink, or just to check out the gift shop and museum.

The Dorset Arms

Only a stroll away from the cabin, offering real ales and fine British dining, The Dorset Arms is historic village pub with a modern approach. Expect a warm welcome, and delicious food made from locally sourced ingredients.

Historic homes

Hammerwood Park was built in 1792 by the architect of the White House and US Capitol Building. It was also purchased by Led Zepplin in the 60's. Today, as well as providing a venue for concerts and filming, the house and gardens are open to the public during summer months.

Sanden Vineyard

Sanden Vineyard is positioned in an AONB overlooking Harrison’s Rocks, and was originally planted in 1987.  This small, family run vineyard produces a White and Blush Brut Sparking Wine, made in the traditional method of second fermentation in the bottle.

FAQs

Find the answer to our most frequently wondered things. Read all FAQs here.

You can travel to Willow via car or public transport (train and short taxi ride).

After booking your chosen cabin, you’ll receive an online ‘Welcome Guide’ detailing the exact location of the cabin and directions by car or train and taxi. If you’re travelling by train, we highly recommend booking your connecting taxi in advance, as rural locations don’t tend to have Uber!

The cabin is your space to relax in any way you like to, but we’ve kitted it out with lots of phone-free activities, including:

📚 A selection of our fave books
👾 Board games
🃏 Diary of CEO Conversation Cards
📻 Radio Cassette Player + Tapes
📸 Instant Camera + 10 free films
🗺 Map and compass

And of course you might want to head out and explore the local area. The map and welcome guide include recommendations of restaurants, cafes and other attractions nearby.

Check-in is at 3pm
Check-out is at 10am

We don’t currently include food packages, but all cabins have a well-equipped kitchen including a mini-fridge and gas hob to cook up your fave meals. We include pots, pans, cooking utensils and even chef knives. Plus, loose leaf tea, coffee beans, oil, salt and pepper.

If you’re looking for a night or two away from the stove, there’s always plenty of nearby pubs and restaurants listed in our cabin guides.

Yes! All our cabins have hot showers and an eco-composting toilet in an indoor bathroom. We provide eco-friendly toiletries and luxury towels, too!

All our cabins are on private land and locks from the inside and out. Willow is hidden in her own woodland, so there is wildlife surrounding the cabin. We'd advise only booking a solo trip here if you're not too easily spooked as noises of nature can sometimes make guests a bit uneasy - even though there's nothing to worry about!

We include enough firewood for so you can keep warm and toasty during your stay.

We recommend you unplug for the full duration of your stay to get the most from your digital detox, but this is totally self-policed. Our lockboxes have a padlock and key, with the key in a sealed envelope, so if you want to unlock it, you can.

We provide you with a Nokia so you can reach our cabin support team and contact friends and family if you need to. The number for the Nokia will be shared with you in advance of your stay.

All our stays are 3 nights as this is the minimum time it takes to fully switch off and reap the benefits of nature and time offline. You can read more about 'The 3 Day Effect' here.

We know plans can change, so we’ll always do what we can to accommodate booking amendments. If your check-in date is over 28 days away, your stay can be rebooked for a new date or you can request a voucher, or a full refund. If your check-in date is within 14-28 days, you can move your stay to a future date, or request a voucher equal to the payment you have made. Cancellations or amendments are unfortunately not possible if your check-in date is in or within 14 days. All bookings have a 48 hour cooling off period, so if you change your mind you can reschedule your stay or get a full refund. Rescheduled stays are non-refundable.
