Wellbeing products

In partnership with Healf, Helix is the first-of-its-kind wellbeing cabin. Nestled in woodland alongside a naturally formed pond, Helix has been thoughtfully designed to help you slow down, reset, and recharge. You have your own wood-fired sauna and Monk ice bath, as well as a curated collection of wellness products to support your mind, body and sleep during your stay.

Inside, you’ll find handpicked essentials to make your escape even more restorative. Start your mornings with Dirtea Matcha and LMNT Electrolytes, move gently with a yoga mat and resistance bands, and recover with the help of a Therabody’s iconic Theragun - all included to help you feel your best, naturally. Healf have also included a lightweight, pressure-free sleep mask, as well as your own mindful journal — both to take home after your stay.

The cabin is fully equipped with everything you need for 3 days offline - phone lockbox, physical map of the local area, instant camera and film, a stocked shelf of books and board games, and, of course, Healf’s wellbeing must-haves.

Just a 45-minute train from London, you'll feel disconnected from city life and immersed in nature in no time. There are miles of local forest footpaths to explore just metres from the cabin, as well as the quaint town of Tunbridge Wells nearby. You're also close to Ashdown Forest, the 6,500 acre wood which is celebrated as the home of Winnie-the-Pooh.

Please note that Helix is on the same estate as his sister-cabin, Willow. The owners are also nearby, so it's great for solo travellers who want to be secluded but not completely isolated. The track to Helix's parking area is quite rough in places, so not suitable for very low slung cars.

Unfortunately, no dogs are allowed at this cabin.

Our fave things to do near Helix

Ashdown Forest

Ashdown Forest - including 100 Acre Wood, the celebrated home of Winnie the Pooh - is on the cabin's doorstep. Spanning over 6,500 acres, you can walk, bike or even try horse-riding with Ashdown Forest Riding Centre

Pooh Corner

Pooh Corner is a little tearoom/restaurant, situated on the edge of the Ashdown Forest. The perfect stop for either the casual visitor or the die hard fan of A.A. Milne's, Winnie the Pooh. Head for a bite to eat, something to drink, or just to check out the gift shop and museum.

The Dorset Arms

Only a stroll away from the cabin, offering real ales and fine British dining, The Dorset Arms is historic village pub with a modern approach. Expect a warm welcome, and delicious food made from locally sourced ingredients.

Historic homes

Hammerwood Park was built in 1792 by the architect of the White House and US Capitol Building. It was also purchased by Led Zepplin in the 60's. Today, as well as providing a venue for concerts and filming, the house and gardens are open to the public during summer months.

Sanden Vineyard

Sanden Vineyard is positioned in an AONB overlooking Harrison’s Rocks, and was originally planted in 1987.  This small, family run vineyard produces a White and Blush Brut Sparking Wine, made in the traditional method of second fermentation in the bottle.

I Went Off Grid For Four Days And This Is What Happened

As someone living in London, working in wellbeing, and constantly online, the idea of going completely off-grid for three days sounded extreme. But that’s exactly what I did.

When it was time to leave and I unlocked the box to retrieve my phone, I actually hesitated. I didn’t want to turn it on. I went off grid thinking it would be a break. What I got was a reset.

You can travel to Helix via car or public transport (train and short taxi ride).

After booking your chosen cabin, you’ll receive an online ‘Welcome Guide’ detailing the exact location of the cabin and directions by car or train and taxi. If you’re travelling by train, we highly recommend booking your connecting taxi in advance, as rural locations don’t tend to have Uber!

Helix shares the same woodland as his sister cabin, Willow. You cannot see the other cabin, but you will share the same parking spot.

The owners of the estate also live nearby and you pass their home as you drive towards the cabin.

The cabin is your space to relax in any way you like to, but we’ve kitted it out with lots of phone-free activities, including:

🔥 Wood-fired sauna
❄️ Ice bath
🧬 Wellbeing products and devices
📚 A selection of our fave books
👾 Board games
🃏 Intelligent Change Conversation Cards
📻 Radio Cassette Player + Tapes
📸 Instant Camera + 10 free films
🗺 Map and compass

And of course you might want to head out and explore the local area. The map and welcome guide include recommendations of restaurants, cafes and other attractions nearby.

Check-in is at 3pm
Check-out is at 10am

We don’t currently include food packages, but all cabins have a well-equipped kitchen including a mini-fridge and gas hob to cook up your fave meals. We include pots, pans, cooking utensils and even chef knives. Plus, loose leaf tea, coffee beans, oil, salt and pepper.

If you’re looking for a night or two away from the stove, there’s always plenty of nearby pubs and restaurants listed in our cabin guides.

Yes! All our cabins have hot showers and an eco-composting toilet in an indoor bathroom. We provide eco-friendly toiletries and luxury towels, too!

All our cabins are on private land and locks from the inside and out. Helix is hidden in her own woodland, so there is wildlife surrounding the cabin. We'd advise only booking a solo trip here if you're not too easily spooked as noises of nature can sometimes make guests a bit uneasy - even though there's nothing to worry about!

We include enough firewood for so you can keep warm and toasty during your stay.

We recommend you unplug for the full duration of your stay to get the most from your digital detox, but this is totally self-policed. Our lockboxes have a padlock and key, with the key in a sealed envelope, so if you want to unlock it, you can.

We provide you with a Nokia so you can reach our cabin support team and contact friends and family if you need to. The number for the Nokia will be shared with you in advance of your stay.

All our stays are 3 nights as this is the minimum time it takes to fully switch off and reap the benefits of nature and time offline. You can read more about 'The 3 Day Effect' here.

We know plans can change, so we’ll always do what we can to accommodate booking amendments. If your check-in date is over 28 days away, your stay can be rebooked for a new date or you can request a voucher, or a full refund. If your check-in date is within 14-28 days, you can move your stay to a future date, or request a voucher equal to the payment you have made. Cancellations or amendments are unfortunately not possible if your check-in date is in or within 14 days. All bookings have a 48 hour cooling off period, so if you change your mind you can reschedule your stay or get a full refund. Rescheduled stays are non-refundable.
