About Unplugged cabins
We make off-grid log cabins in some of the best corners of the UK countryside. Each one sits within an hour or two of a major city - ours near Swansea sit on the edges of the Gower Peninsula, with sea views, clifftop walks, and the Brecon Beacons an hour north. Why are we different from other cabins? Your phone goes in the lockbox when you arrive.
3 NIGHT DIGITAL DETOX
The cabin experience
Swap your phone for a Nokia with Snake loaded up, an instant camera with film, board games, a cassette player, a stack of books, and a lot of outside. Most of our cabins near Swansea come with a hot tub that are miles away from your inbox.
NOT JUST A NORMAL BREAK
Backed by science
We fix our stays at 3 or 4 nights for a reason. Research shows cortisol levels begin to drop meaningfully after 72 hours in nature and away from screens. Sleep quality improves. The reflex to pick up your phone starts to fade. We built the stays around that window because one night is nice, but three nights is where something actually shifts.
In the local area
By foot or by car, there is amazing nature to explore by our cabins near Swansea.
Questions about our cabins near Swansea
Frequently asked questions about Unplugged cabins in South Wales.
How far are your cabins from Swansea?
Our South Wales cabins near Swansea are about 1 hour away by car.
Do I need a car to get to the cabins?
Most cabins are easiest to reach by car. Check the individual cabin page, or drop us a message and we'll give you a straight answer before you book.
Are the cabins near Swansea dog-friendly?
Most of them, yes. Each cabin listing shows whether dogs are welcome, and a few are set up with fully enclosed outdoor spaces. We know your dog also needs a break from the city.
What actually happens with my phone?
There's a lockbox in every cabin for you to lock your phone away. Alongside it you get a Nokia, an instant camera, a cassette player, books, and board games. It's completely self-policed so you can access your phone if you need to.
Why 3 nights? Can I book for less?
All our stays are fixed at 3 nights and we're deliberate about it. The research on digital detox and stress recovery consistently points to 72 hours as the threshold where the physiological change actually happens - better sleep, lower cortisol, slower nervous system. A weekend break is lovely. Three nights offline is something that actually carries over when you get back.
Is there any wifi or phone signal in the cabins?
No wifi, by design. Phone signal varies by location - some cabins have 5G, some have none.
